Yosemite National Forest. Such an amazing place to visit. The last time time I was here, I was about 5 or 6 years old. My only memories from that trip are from looking at childhood pictures. I’m no Ansel Adams but here are some amazing pictures I took. Some of these look amazing in black and white.
This is a must destination for all. Being in nature is such an exhilarating experience. If you decide to go, I recommend staying at Yosemite Four Seasons .
These are just a few pictures from my weekend with Lizvet up in Santa Barbara.
We had a great time visiting her friend from Portugal. We stayed at this very cool motel located in downtown Santa Barbara called the Presidio motel. If you visit, I recommend that you stay at this place. Tell them Rene Rivas sent ya! It was a fun, cool, and relaxing weekend, especially after the recent storms we had. Cheers!
A photo shoot that I took in October of 2009. Lizvet Corral – fine artist and Interior Designer, who is featured in these pictures, teamed up with Melissa Contreras of axelhoney, came up with a few themes to incorporate axelhoney’s jewelry collection. I took hundreds of photos, It was a fun and exciting project – these are a few from that shoot. We did a second shoot in November of 2009, this shoot was very exciting. I’ll post those in the coming weeks. Enjoy!
This is a time to reinvent myself, to do what I most enjoy in life, to be creative and to be positive. I work at a design studio in Long Beach, CA – Vision Design Studio (VDS). In the past two years, I have taken on much responsibility at VDS. Working about 12 hours a day to make sure everything operates as smoothly as possible (not asking for sympathy – I really do enjoy work). When I get home, I’m mentally exhausted but always have that itch to be creative… but then the couch overcomes me. I know that my design skills have fallen and suffered and this makes me sad . This is were I will start, taking photos to get myself motivated and back up to par all around. Sharing ideas, collaborating with others is so crucial. Here’s to you – 2010
Before Paul Moyer retired back in April of 2009, I used to remember the dramatic news story phrase – “Storm Watch – year”. Today was one of those days – “Storm Watch 2010″, I couldn’t go outside for recess and I wanted to play heads-up seven-up. Southern Californian’s are always so amazed when we see rain – today’s rain was quite impressive. We even had a tornado watch and had some hail. We have it all in Southern California.
